The Best Websites to Find Budget Accommodation

Dave Weatherall | 2026-02-12

Other than flights, where you sleep will often be the biggest expense while you travel. That’s why it’s so important to make sure you get the best deals.

Here’s some great websites, I use, to find budget accommodation!

Airbnb

Rent unique accommodations from local hosts in 190+ countries.

Here’s £25 AirBnB travel credit, just sign-up!

What I like

  • A whole apartment can sometimes be cheaper than a hotel room!

  • Feel at home, anywhere in the world

Booking.com

Easily discover, book, and enjoy the world’s best places to stay. Booking.com is my favourite hotel booking site because it is so user-friendly, the website makes it easy to find what you’re looking for.

What I like

  • Great customer service

  • Good user experience

  • Fantastic mobile app with city guides!

  • Trusted reviews

Cheap Hotels

Agoda

If you opt for hotels or hostels, it could be worth checking Agoda. They offer good deals for hotels you might find more expensive elsewhere. However, I do find that the cancellation options and customer service are less generous than what you’ll experience on Booking.com so keep that in mind.

What I like

  • Low-price guarantee

  • Recommended explorations

  • PointsMAX – Earn points on your existing rewards program

Agoda

HostelBookers

Similar to Booking.com, HostelBookers is good for finding the best deals on accommodation but focused on hostels.

What I like

  • Easy to use

  • Trusted reviews

  • Focused on one type of accommodation

HostelBookers

Holiday Extras

One more worthy of a mention is Holiday Extras. If you can gather anything from their name, they provide additional support to make your holiday the best it can be. Less hassle, more holiday.

What I like

  • Tie up any loose ends in one place

  • Reminds you of anything you might have forgotten

  • A few extras for less hassle will go a long way to improving your holiday

Holiday Extras
