If you love the great outdoors, you probably have a favorite type of adventuring that you like to do, whether it’s alone, with a partner, or even in a big group. In 2022, challenge yourself to try something new, broaden your horizons, and experience more that nature has to offer.

Adventures to Try in 2022 #1: Fishing
While this might not sound like much of an adventure to someone who hasn’t ever fished before, it’s an incredible way to spend time in nature. From hunting for the perfect fishing spots, learning the ins and outs of the sport, and relaxing beside the water with your loved ones, there’s nothing quite like fishing.

If you’re interested in giving this a try, your best option is to find a friend who has some experience and try your hand at fishing somewhere nearby. If you fall in love, you can invest in some fishing gear and start exploring new fishing spots.
Adventures to Try in 2022 #2: Camping
Roughing it in the great outdoors is the best way to truly connect with your natural environment. Cooking on an open fire, seeing the stars, and disconnecting from modern living for a few days are as good for the soul as for the body.

There are many different ways you can camp too—from more comfortable options (like glamping) to seriously roughing it out in the woods with a tent and a fire.
Research the best local camping spots before you head out, especially if it’s your first time.
Adventures to Try in 2022 #3: Hiking
Instead of hitting the gym this weekend, why not try out a local hiking trail? With so many options from beginners’ to extreme trails, you could never get bored starting a hobby like this. It’s a great way to get moving, learn new functional skills, experience the world around you, and even make new friends.

Not only is it fun, but hiking has some great health benefits too, making you fitter and stronger and forcing you to get some much-needed Vitamin D. Live in an urban area? How about trying rucking.
Adventures to Try in 2022 #4: Rock Climbing
Something for the adrenaline junkies to try out is rock climbing. This can be done indoors (which is best for beginners) or outdoors (if you’re experienced and a little more extreme). If you’re intimidated, there are loads of tips for beginners that could help you out.
